Curried Pumpkin Soup

The savory consistency of this silken soup is matched by its beautiful golden color. I usually make it during the fall season and wonder why I have waited so long in between to serve it.

I made this soup as a first course for a winter buffet party. As the guests arrived, they were greeted with mugs filled with piping hot soup. The soup was topped with a dollop of sour cream and some snipped fresh chives. No spoons needed - just smooth sippers.
