The B. Dalton Book Store in the Tyson's Corner Mall in McLean, Virginia hosted a "sell-out" book signing and food sampling June 15. Jorj featured dishes from the "After Work" chapter of her book. Cooking Class and Tasting City Furniture hosted a multi-course food tasting featuring several great dishes from At Home In The Kitchen on June 2nd from 2 - 5 p.m. in their Pembroke Pines Store located at 11249 Pines Boulevard in Hollywood, Fl. Book Signing Jo-An's Papers in Lauderdale By The Sea, Fl recently hosted a book signing. Jorj brought along a few of her favorite treats to offer to attendees. The menu included Quick Apple Cinnamon Bread, Banana Peanut Butter Chip Quick Bread, Sour Cream Coffee Cake, Iced Chocolate Cake Cookies, Chocolate Cookie Cheesecake Bars, and Mixed Berries with Zabaglione Sauce. It's a good thing that there was plenty of food because the books SOLD OUT before lunch! The weather cooperated and guests were welcomed onto her flowering terrace where they served themselves champagne, chilled white wine or sweet iced tea. The luncheon buffet menu included honey ham, sliced turkey breast, warm rolls and chilled fruit salad. The creamy pasta salad was served in a china bowl that rested in a larger bowl filled with ice. A platter of gorgeous roasted asparagus and a crisp garden salad rounded out the meal. Desserts included a decadent chocolate-iced dark chocolate cake. Lucy baked the chocolate cake herself - but accepted a little help from fellow recipe tester Kathy Guerke owner of WeTaketheCake.com by adding both a refreshing coconut cake and a rich key lime cake.
