Plum Tomatoes with Basil

Here is a very simple recipe that guarantees a great tasting tomato. A spoon full of this dish goes well with every entrée. You can also use it as a topping for any fresh garden salad.

An alternate method used when adding fresh basil to a dish is to prepare the basil in a chiffonade. This involves stacking and rolling the leaves into very thin strips. The result is leafy tendrils of basil that attach themselves to every drop of ripe tomato.

Beth and John T. say, "Even we can tackle this simple dish! Tonight we made an after-work salad that didn't come out of a plastic container. It's a start!"
